When he first started specializing in textured finishes a few years ago, the majority of Leonard’s work was painting and promoting the concept of natural – organic and healthy interior paints and plasters. Our product and application remained focused on Natural - non toxic –non allergenic and environmentally friendly products, primarily Clay based.
Still keeping with the Natural focus, Leonard has furthered his education, applicator qualifications and experience to include a portfolio of Natural Lime Plasters, Lime paint, Metallic Textures and additional products such as Decorative Concrete.
For no other reason than to offer a qualified choice of products, the best solutions and to expand the possibilities!
To reflect, Leonard began painting wooden yachts in the mid 1960’s, learning the trade under the direction of European boat builders and master painters. After high school graduation in the early 1970’s, Len continued to work for a number of years on private yachts in Maple Bay and Canoe Cove on Vancouver Island and also in Vancouver at Royal Van Yacht Club and the Bay Shore Hotel Marina.
In conversation with Leonard, he explains, “we consider ourselves artists in the application of interior decorative finishes and approach each job as an artistic expression. A number of my relatives were artists in watercolors and oils, so I think that my work fits the same expression.” He states, “It gives us a great sense of accomplishment, creating a personal expression for each client. You can’t achieve that same expression just painting houses.”
